Snooze Cruise is designed for drivers who feels for their safety and would like an application that allows them to be notified when to be out of the road. Every year, thousands of accidents are caused by drowsy driving. While many drivers don’t realize how dangerous it is to “just power through” when tired, even a few seconds of nodding off can lead to serious consequences. This project aims to provide drivers, especially those who has older car models, additional safety net that monitors drowsiness in real time and helps prevent accidents, before it's too late.

The challenge asks teams to create practical safety-focused solutions that make everyday life safer and more comfortable. This includes addressing safety concerns on the road, on campus, in urban or rural areas, and during daily activities. Teams should think about how to prevent or respond to accidents and threats, whether physical or emotional, and find ways to give people greater peace of mind and protection in different environments.

We built Wake The Beep Up, a mobile-first safety app that uses computer vision to monitor drivers’ eyes for signs of drowsiness. When fatigue is detected, it triggers a loud alarm, and if there’s no response, it automatically contacts 911 and shares the driver’s location via Twilio. Designed for smartphones, it provides an accessible, AI-powered solution to help prevent accidents and save lives.
